Stephen has sent us quite a few letters in the past week. He says he is doing better and is always wearing a huge smile on his face. He says there are a lot of Catholics in his area that are very stuck to their religion so they get the door shut in their faces a lot but he tries to keep his smile and keep going. He says on the really cold days he feels like he is going to die ( yes a bit dramatic) but I am sure he really will live and get used to it at some point. I do know there have been a few days they have not been able to go out because it is way to cold so I am not down playing the cold I just really don't think he is going to die. He did sing in the choir for the ward he is serving in, he had a lot of fun doing it. He did say he isn't sure what they thought since he can't sing but it was a great experience for him. He struggles with his companion a little bit but don't we all struggle with the people we are with constantly here and there?
He did receive his Christmas packages from all of us and he really felt loved by the quilt Janel sewed for him and all of his family and some of his loved ones signed it. He said it was a great gift and really felt the love and support of all of us.
One of his cousins on Harvey's side is serving in Sioux City, Iowa and Stephen saw his name on a roster, he thought that was pretty cool and is hoping to meet him.
He is really growing in his testimony and in his ability to reach out to people. He is happy and doing good.
Until next time....
